Bridging Juxtaposition
n editorial technique where two shots are juxtaposed to imply an entire piece of unseen story, often to replace a much longer, deleted sequence. By cutting from a character receiving information to a later, unrelated shot of them in a contemplative state, the editor creates a new, direct causal link. This allows for significant narrative compression, making the story more succinct while trusting the audience to understand the implied emotional and psychological journey.
