Psychological Soundscape
he practice of using non-diegetic or subtly mixed diegetic sounds to represent a character's internal state, such as memories, trauma, or psychological stress. Unlike overt sound effects, a psychological soundscape aims to create a subconscious feeling in the audience, aligning them with the character's subjective experience rather than the objective reality of the scene. The goal is for the sound to be felt more than consciously heard.
