Retroactive Scripting

workflow where the filmmaker shoots footage in an uncontrolled or documentary-style environment first, and then writes a formal script based on the events that transpired. This script, often including voiceover narration, is then used as the blueprint for the edit. It inverts the traditional `script -> shoot -> edit` model, creating a `shoot -> write -> edit` process that organizes found moments into a deliberate narrative before the edit begins in earnest.
