Acoustic Ballooning
sound manipulation technique that artificially expands the perceived size of a room's acoustic space by exploiting the physics of tape speed. By recording a sound at a high speed (e.g., 4x) and then playing it back at normal speed, the original sound's pitch and tempo are restored, but the reverberation tails are stretched, making a small room sound like a vast, cavernous hall.
