Offset (Color Wheel)

primary color correction tool that uniformly shifts the entire video signal—shadows, midtones, and highlights—together. Unlike Gamma, which pivots the midtones between fixed black and white points, Offset moves everything up or down, making it a blunt instrument. This makes it very easy to accidentally 'clip' (crush) blacks or 'blow out' highlights, especially in a constrained display space like Rec 709.
